Wolfgang Kramer is 75 and Honorary Member of the SAZ
The famous game author Wolfgang Kramer is celebrating today, June 29, 2017, his 75th birthday. We congratulate him cordially.
More than 40 years ago Wolfgang Kramer published his first game. Since then, his extensive and, above all, multifaceted work of games has received the Spiel des Jahres award five times (Heimlich & Co, Auf Achse, El Grande, Tikal and Torres) together with numerous other prizes.
Wolfgang Kramer has been one of the founding fathers of the "Spiele-Autoren-Zunft e.V." (SAZ) in 1991 and was its chairman from 1995 to 1997. To this day, he actively supports the interests of game authors and their organization with advice, lectures and in continuous communication behind the scenes. With a unanimous decision of the Annual General Meeting held in Göttingen on June 9, 2017, the SAZ honors Wolfgang Kramer’s lifetime achievement and his relentless commitment by awarding him honorary membership.
