INNO-Spatz Award goes to BoardGameGeek - Game Designer Scholarship Prize goes to Karin Hetling
The German Game Designer Meeting in Göttingen (June 05/06, 2010) came to a
successful end on Sunday. 165 tables of game designers from Germany and abroad show the high acceptance of this
meeting, where they presented their unpublished games, discussed among themselves and offered them to many representatives of the publisher.
The annual
Innovation Award INNO-Spatz went this year to the American website
BOARDGAMEGEEK.COM. This prize is awarded for outstanding performance
to highlight the position, role and work of the designers of games in the
public consciousness. BoardGameGeek is the number one international website about games,
authors, designers and publishers. The representative of
BoardGameGeek, Derk Solko, donated the prize money of 1,000 € to the
game Game Designer Association (SAZ) to support their work.
The 2010 Game Designers's Scholarship Prize won Karin Hetling from Osnabrück in Germany. She will graduate in a number of
publishers and institutions of the games industry for
several days and so can significantly broaden her experience. The jury
consisted of representatives of the jury Game of the Year and the SAZ
and additionally the winner of last year. A warm
congratulations to our member Karin!
